A new Estate version of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class will be available from early 2010. The new Estate certainly makes an impression with stiking lines and top marks for load capacity (upto 1950 litres) plus numerous innovative driver assistance systems. The new Estate comes in eight engine options with more output and improved fuel consumption.
This new Mercedes is very comfortable with adaptive dampening and self-levelling rear suspension and as usual with Mercedes-Benz, safety is paramount with nine airbags as standard. There are also around a dozen or so new driver assistance systems to help prevent accidents or reduce the sevrity of impact. For example the standard ATTENTION ASSIST drowsiness detection system, the optional DISTRONIC PLUS proximity control and the PRE-SAFE brake whcih is able to initiate partial and full braking autonomously.
The eight engine variants at launch are listed below with a E350CDI BlueEFFICIENCY and E63 AMG Estate coming later.
Three trim levels will be available namely SE, Avantgarde and Sport however if you can’t wait until 2010, contract hire prices on all other Mercedes-Benz models are available now.
