Due to the increasing demand for Mercedes Benz Accessories GmbH is expanding its range of communication accessories and this time it would include Bluetooth telephony solution. This new Mercedes-Benz Bluetooth® (HFP) telephone module allows its user to use the BlackBerry® in a Mercedes-Benz passenger car without needing to physically connect the device to the vehicle. Such modular solution is especially designed for in-car telecommunication and is suitable for a selected range of mobile phones that support the Bluetooth® Hands Free Profile. This new telephone module with HFP software is compatible with the factory-fitted solutions that are presently offered in every Mercedes model series.

What can you do with the Bluetooth® Hands Free Profile? Virtually anything that you want like send and receive emails, make phone calls, check pictures and presentations. It’s the perfect buddy for executives who wants to carry with them their office in the BlackBerry handheld computer.

And for the first time a Mercedes accessory in the form of the new Bluetooth (HFP) telephone module allows BlackBerry 8700g, 8700v and 8707v models to be connected wirelessly to a Mercedes-Benz passenger car.

The new Mercedes Accessories GmbH further boosts the safeness and convenience of using car phones. But the biggest benefit is the portability of the handheld or mobile phone which can be conveniently carried around either in your handbag or jacket pocket. There is also no problem with the Bluetooth connection between the vehicle and the device since it’s done automatically. Operating the telephone module is also very easy since it features a single button which is used to activate the pairing process.

After the pairing process commence connection will be automatic. The integration on board also provides safe and spontaneous control of the telephone functions through the multifunction steering wheel, the central instrument cluster and the audio system display.

The Bluetooth (HFP) telephone module is also compatible with Nokia 6131, Motorola PEBL U6, Nokia 6111, Sony Ericsson K610i, Nokia N70, BenQ-Siemens EF81, and Sony Ericsson W550i mobile phones. It also acts as the extension of the pre-installation for mobile phone with universal interface—a feature which exists currently in most of the latest Mercedes-Benz models.

The module is very easy to use it needs only to be inserted into the pre-installation located at the center armrest. And for this month, Mercedes-Benz will offer its Mercedes-Benz Bluetooth (HFP) telephone module in an unconventionally designed closed box format and will be priced at EUR250 which include VAT.
