The transmission is shot in my S320 Mercedes-Benz and I want to replace it before I try to sell the car. I live in central virginia and a somewhat trustworthy mechanic here quoted a price for replacing the transmission and for labor, but admitted the owner of the shop wants to charge about 600 more for the transmission than what he purchased it for. He said if I could find my own transmission it would be considerably cheaper to have it replaced- and they would do the labor at the shop. Where can I find rebuilt/used transmissions for this car? Do I need a transmission specific to the model as well as the make? I literally have no idea where to begin. Help!

Definitely believe that which you stated. Your favorite justification appeared to be on the net the easiest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I certainly get irked while people think about worries that they plainly don’t know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top and also defined out the whole thing without having side effect , people could take a signal. Will probably be back to get more. Thanks
