Being a relatively newish Wiggles fan, I bought this DVD for my son, not being aware that it was a remake of the “Dance Party” DVD with a bigger budget. Well, now I own both (I had to see “Dance Party” due to the funny reviews here claiming how old and cheap it looked), and my son loves both. For me, I do appreciate the old songs brought into the present with new visuals, but it doesn’t matter at all to my son. To those who feel they got hosed by The Wiggles and then gripe about it afterward (or write really bad poetry because of it), I can only say you should check out the product through online reviews or other outlets before buying. I don’t think it’s a case of The Wiggles wanting to “make more money,” more than it is they want to produce a quality product that stands up to their newer videos. Bottom line is this DVD is a lot of fun and it’s certainly a lot cooler to see Paul Paddick as Captain Feathersword, instead of Anthony playing the part back in the “good old days” as on the “Dance Party” DVD.

I can’t agree more with the other reviewer who gave this movie a one star and stated that it was a big waste of money. Where to begin…
First off, anyone expecting this to be a video featuring new material will be very suprised to find that it’s no more than a re-hash of their first (and, believe it or not, much better) video “Dance Party”. And when I say re-hash I’m talking almost a direct copy of the original! In fact, the Wiggles didn’t even re-record the music tracks! It’s the SAME music tracks from a video that was released some 13 years ago. Just check out the “Doing the Flap” song where Captain Featersword is lip-syncing to Paul Field’s voice (the original Captain in that song). It’s obvious the Wiggles never stepped foot into a recording studio for this video.
The first-half of the movie is appalling… but not nearly as appalling as the second half where we have a recurring nightmare of what was “Saliling Around the World” with Captain Feathersword and his annoying crew. They do more of the stupid bits that just don’t hold anyones interest (especially not the kids). Inexplicably, the only one who went into the recording studio to record some music tracks was Captain Feathersword. The result? Two of the worse re-makes of Wiggles songs you could possibly imagine! In the original video I thought “Nicky Nacky Noo” was a very catchy song. Now it’s unbearable as Captains gritty voice and constant “woo-hoooos” make it unlistenable. It’s become very apparant by the last 3 or 4 Wiggles “new” releases that the Wiggles are out to make as much from their fame as possible while they can and have totally forgotten about their audience and the value of entertainment.
This movie is just so bad… I really never thought the Wiggles could top “Sailing around the World” and “Cold Spaghetti” for worse movies ever… but they did. In fact, my wife and I thought it was SO bad that we called HIT entertainment and tried pleading with them to take it back and refund us our money. Unfortunatly, HIT wouldn’t take it back (can you blame them?). All I have to say is “thank you Wiggles” for stealing my hard-earned money by releasing a video that is equivillant to that of human waste.

This dvd has a few familiar songs from the video “Dance Party”— that we wore out long ago.
It uses great computer graphics and hyper cool colors! My two boys love it. It stands in 2nd place to “Santa’s Rockin” at our house!!!

What a great new twist on some old Wiggly songs with the awesome addition of new ones! My girls ask to watch this video every day!!! Great to see all the Wiggly dancers and Wiggle friends with larger roles!

Sure, there’s too much pirates and not enough Wiggles, but this is still fun. The only thing I could really do without is Admiral Goodbloke. The talking just goes on too long. Other that that, this movie is colorful and catchy.
