i am sure that it needs struts / shocks and possibly ball joints [if car is from rust belt] as well as a new steering damper. the power windows were problematic unless the guide channels are lubed periodically with silicone dilectric grease [available from 3m] .
rear suspension links and bushings should be closely inspected for wear before you buy.
if rust free and passes mot/ state/ local inspection and a pre purchase inspection; 3-5k us dollars. good luck

Actually this car had a very reliable engine and it was a good car, but looks like this one was not well maintained (oil leaks?) Impossible to say how much, but I’d guess no more than $3,000 if there’s nothing wrong with the body (ugly color, if you ask me…)

I own a 1987 190D. These cars go forever, with minimal maintenance. 135,000 is barely starting life, as long as it’s been maintained. As to value, the books will tell you that it’s minimal..maybe $2500. But because of the high cost of fuel, these cars are now in VERY high demand. You should be able to get $5K if it’s presentable.
As with any 20 year old car, anything can go wrong, but there are no special problems with this model…not window channels, shocks, or bushings. I use mine every day with absolute confidence. My rear shocks are still original, with 230K miles, they are just now ready for replacement. The fronts went 150K miles. Bushings have been replaced as needed, which isn’t often. Never had a problem with windows.
The one thing that you may want to check are the driveshaft flex plates. These rubber parts should be probably replaced routinely at 150K miles, as a failure can be disasterous. Not a big deal.

frankly - if you are considering this particular model, the price is out of line. the car is worth in the region of $1,000 and anything you pay above that sure makes the seller happy. spend some time on trying to find one that is in a realistic price range.
as to the car itself - it has nothing going for it, light ivory is probably the worst color you can get and the mileage is a bit above the average. i am sure you can do better.
as to the car itself - it is a solid car, nice little driver, cheap to maintain.
