Before buying the fluid, find out why the reservoir is empty. Ususlly the shocks are bad/leaking. The OEM shocks are available throuogh mercedes parts vendors, you do not need to pay dealer prices. I beleive that the manufacturer of the hyd. shocks is Sachs. Having your model and year may help, but the pump and seals in the system require the correct fluid. Try performanceproducts.com. As far as cross referencing, I have not found an alternative. Most parts houses sell OEM. You can find it much cheaper on line.
