Hello Everyone:
I have been working as an IT manager and part time real estate agent for six years now. My salary both places are fair and very stable. However, recently i was inspired with a career in the luxury automative industry Mercedes Benz. I currently still live with my parents and have about 1 year worth of salary saved. What do you guys think should i make the jump into Mercedes Auto sales i heard that they are the highest paid in the industry? I dont have a college degree and are debating if i leave my cushion of a job and my sales position doesnt make me any income i might get stuck without a job at all.
i live with my parents because home sales in our part of the county are very expensive. That and i am a compulsive spender.

Come on, It’s Sales, that means Commission’s. You don’t sell, you don’t get paid.

If you aren’t happy with your IT manager job, then by all means make the switch. You can always keep your real estate license active and do it part time as well. I think with your sales experience you should do quite well selling Mercedes. Remember you’ll be working nights and weekends and I see more and more Mercedes on the road now than ever. Why are you still living with your parents? Have you considered going back to school?
