I own a Mercedes E320 with a desert silver exterior. The car has been kept in good condition and wax has been applied to the exterior at least once or more a year. Will “claying” the paint make a dramatic difference? Is it worth the time? I have only see this application on dark color autos.

The clay bar removes minute stuff trapped in the paint giving you a very slick look. It’s time consuming but well worth it, and dont forget to wax or polish afterwards

You’ll certainly feel the difference but with the car being silver, I’m not sure if you will be able to see the benefits as you would on dark colored cars. We have a dark silver SUV and I’m planning on claying it soon just to get the junk out of the paint.

yes
even brand new cars still get junk on them just from transporting them
its worth it, if your serious about your car
and, wax doesnt last a year, you should be applying it every 3-4 months

yes it will make a difference in your paint as it will take all the contaminents off the paint and make it real smoothe.
