i need to get my brakes done and i think the cost is 1000 roughly….
i also heard that brakes are the easiest part replacement there is . my question is that i want quality work/ parts and want to go to one of those bmw/ mercedes auto shops who “specializes” in these cars as well. Do you think it’s safe and reputable or is it worth paying dealership prices and if so, then what do you guys do different to the brakes???

Definitely check their references, or see whether there are other BMWs under repair at their shop., and ask them about warranty for work they perform. Reputable shops have no problems being asked these types of questions. It’s also important that they use genuine OEM BMW parts rather than some cheap knock off.

the dealer will not do anything different than the independant shop, the main difference will be the parts used. if they use BMW OEM parts, go for it, if they use something else, don’t. it is no problem to ask questions such as warranty, and things of that sort.. but you can usually save a lot of money by not going to the dealer, that’s why we lose a lot of work.
where do you live? i’ll do it for less than them.. and get you the parts at dealer cost!
