After I graduate auto technician school, I may be able to choose a manufacturer program. I know Bmw makes some nice cars but wouldn’t servicing them make less money than Ford considering there are way more Fords on the road? (I don’t know what technicians get payed based on.)
There is bmw, ford, nissan, toyota, porsche, mercedes, volkswagen, volvo, mini, audi programs but a few of them pay for whole tuition some just offer grants

Porsche techs make the most. I started as a parts driver, and decided to fly to Germany to train as a technician. The training is TOP NOTCH. Porsche is meticulous about all aspects of training. Their Stuttgart and Leipzig facilities are state-of-the-art, and so clean wrenches often wear white lab coveralls.
In the past, Porsche dealerships paid flat-rate wages. This means whoever can hustle jobs the fastest…made the most. At one point, I earned almost $89,000 two years following my training completion. Apparently, in this economy- dealships can no longer afford to pay this way. But back in the Reagan-era boom years(1980s)…we all made incredible amounts of money.
These days, academies like Wyotech offer factory training as comprehensive as the OEM manufacturers of past. My experience in Germany was awesome, fun and a great way to learn why German cars are so superior to US made cars…plus, I got to drive 170mph on the Autobahn!

You can make more money with the German imports than with the domestic vehicles, all you have to do is keep your grades up and have excellent attendance and you can choose which manufacturer you want to go with, the bad part is it extends your education, but it will make you more money in the long run.
