Is the depression making you depressed?

Add comments

if you are not affected by the depression, you def know someone that is. i am personally affected by this depression. my family has been in the auto industry for over the past decade.. and GM at that… we are part of the thousands that have been “laid off,” or voluntarily retired… so in that sense.. it is making me depressed. i havent told any of my friends, not even my girlfriend. i try to go on as if nothing is wrong. coming from a neighborhood where everyone drives a BMW or mercedes and the girls carrying chanel and gucci bags… i dont think anyone would understand me.

im sure there are hundreds, or even thousands of you out there.. how are you dealing with the situation?

ive been just reading alot. reading books… the business section of the ny times… etc

No it doesn’t because this is how I’ve been living for years. I’m glad it happened. I don’t have any money,I got a job from Melwood, I have a disability, I can’t pay rent anyway-I only have a part time job that pays less than 100.00…..and this is how I have been living for years. So I”m glad others know what it’s like-for those that are disabled.

Hm. The way you deal with it will be unique to your situation. But, at the same time, a bit similar. There’s many ways to deal with depression. I prefer watching obsessive amounts of comedians on YouTube that I deem to be hillairous.

Yeah, its depressing and kind of scary. All these people loosing they’re jobs are unfortunately resorting to crime to get money.

I haven’t had a job for about 2-3 years now due to medical/personal reasons and trying to get any sort of job now is practically impossible. I’ve quit sending in applications because I already know I won’t get hired. My family is into the housing market and veterinarian work. Housing is doing terrible, animal field is holding its own.

it is hard now but if you can look at what true prosperity is rather than the lack you will understand that you have so much. You would understand that we have a great President who is going to make things turn around
first putting people back to work will get them off of the gov. assistance
then it gives them a pay check which they will have to spend so they can work. we get tired when we work so much so they might pay someone to cut the grass, oh sorry I have to go but you are going to be better than ever get books on properity…do a search for will smith the secret on youtube.com & listen to what he says.

i have been dealing with it for years. it was easier to do when i was working. i am taking some anti depressants and they do help some. i was going to counseling but with no insurance that is no longer an option even tho i know i need to. i stay in the house for weeks sometimes without leaving. if you have access to counseling i would suggest that. i battled with it for years without knowing why i didn’t see things the same as everyone else. good luck

A lot of people are feeling the way you are right now and there will be many more to come. However, happiness comes from within my friend, we must use this point in both our individual and collective history to spiritually evolve.Just think about it, does money have that much power over our lives and if so why? Think beyond any excuses that the mind may come up with. To be depressed is to do nothing about your situation. There is plenty that can be done but you will have to challenge your self and find solutions at the greatest depths of your being. Remember; you are an infinite being and the only limitations in life are those that you bring upon your self.
