The latest addition to the successful Mercedes-Benz E-Class line-up is the highly appealing and emotionally charged Cabriolet. In keeping with the motto “four seasons, four passengers”, all-year-round suitability was right at the top of the developers’ list of priorities. The two-door open-top model features a classic fabric soft top, making for a stylistically pure cabriolet feeling.
With the new E‑Class Cabriolet, the open-top season lasts the whole year becaus…

We’ve seen many spy shots and computer renderings over the last few months, but this is one of the first we’ve seen an official ad of the 2011 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabrio. As you can see, the car looks very much like the new Coupe, which in my opinion is good thing, as the new Coupe looks and feels amazing. The new Cabrio will be about 10 cm longer than the current CLK Cabrio - what remains the same though, is the traditional folding soft top.

It was only a matter of time before Hollywood gave us the sequel, so this is definitely not a surprise. What might be surprising is that Mercedes-Benz has chosen the E-Class Convertible (Cabrio) as the official car this time. It seems that they are going after the right audience, as most of the former CLK convertible drivers were in fact women (no offense to any male drivers). Men, if you do get dragged in to watch the movie with your wife/girlfriend, go with it, at least you’ll enj…

Spy Shots: 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class cabrio leaks out courtesy EU bureaucracy
There are few people in this world for whom we hold more contempt than European bureaucrats. They’re the pencil-pushers that, if they had their way, would put an end to some of our favorite exotic sportscars and have us all driving Smart ForTwos. But every gray cloud has its silver lining, and in the case of Belgium’s bureaucracy, is the sneak peak we get from time to time when a carmake…
