Complete images and details for the new Mercedes SLS AMG Gullwing have just been released.

In true gullwing style, the 2010 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG features a pair of vertically lifting doors that do resemble wings once fully extended. These are bolted to a new aluminum spaceframe, which provides a near perfect front-to-rear weight distribution of 48-to-52%.

The back-from-the-dead Mercedes-Benz ‘gullwing‘ coupe is not even real yet, but already there are pointers to a convertible.

But what do you call a gullwing without its gullwing doors? Officially the car is going to be called the Mercedes SLS anyway when it is revealed in production form at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month, ahead of sales from the first half of 2010.

Mercedes-Benz has been teasing us for months now, not only did they publishing official photos of the SLS in camo, but also showed us pictures of the interior. Well the curtain is now off, thanks to a leaked image that a German magazine will publish, which in turn has also been leaked.
