Intel at IDF 2009 announced that the car manufactures, BMW and Mercedes-Benz have decided to use Intel Atom powered infotainment system in their cars and such cars will be available in the year 2012. BMW will use it in its 7-series and Mercedes-Benz will use it in S-class and C-class.
Back in my day, there was no such thing as in-car entertainment other than just looking out the window. Sometimes you would be allowed to stick your head outside too if the dog wasn’t in the way…

Imagine taking a top-of- the-line Mercedes S class sedan and making it into a hybrid, and one that claims a few firsts at that. This is Mercedes’ first hybrid, and before you say, “Big deal,” hang in there a bit longer, for the S400 is the first production car to use a lithium-ion battery.

Having given the SL its annual hose down in preparation for tomorrow’s meet, I took pity on the S Class and gave it a thorough hand wash this morning.
Then I received a text from MB Cheltenham & Gloucester advising me that they are offering a free “Efficiency Check” this weekend.
I had intended to visit them at some point anyway - they are a bit off my normal beat but I wanted to give them feed back that, in 3 years since I bought it, the car has had no faults.

The system immediately begins to work out the route, only pausing to enquire whether a house number is to be entered as well. In Germany, LINGUATRONIC understands around 80,000 town nam…
After we revealed you the fact that Audi is going to show us the new 2010 RS3 at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, we decided to contact our source from Mercedes-Benz to see what is their next project and it appears that it is our lucky day because our friend told us that the German manufacturer is currently working on the S250 CDI BlueEfficiency!
Yes, it is true: Mercedes-Benz is going to present a new S-Class version which will carry the same 4-cylinder diesel engine found on the c…
When Mercedes rolled out the odd-looking F700 concept at last year’s Frankfurt Motor Show many speculated that it was destined to become just another pointless exercise in automotive styling. Not so according to people close to the project. Latest reports claim both the technology and design of the car will eventually make its way onto the next-generation S-Class due in 2012.
As these renderings suggest, the next S-Class will be heavily influenced by the F700 design study…
